How much does mesotherapy cost?

The recommended protocol for mesotherapy is to have a course of 7 treatments over a period of 3 months. The fully inclusive price for a course of 7 treatments is £1,700. After the course of treatment, periodic maintenance treatments are recommended and these are priced at £300 each. Please follow this link for a full list of Mesotherapy prices.

What is the duration of a Mesotherapy treatment?

Each session takes around 30 minutes and there is no recovery or preparation time.

Is Mesotherapy safe?

Yes it is a safe treatment provided you have an experienced and skilled medical practitioner. There are a few risks associated, as with any medical treatment.

How does Mesotherapy work?

Micro-injections into the mesoderm (the middle layer of skin which supports the connective tissue, circulation, muscles and fat). These micro-injections contain vitamins, growth factors, amino acids and minerals and encourage healing at the cellular level. Your botonics practitioner will make a bespoke medical ‘cocktail’ of ingredients which are highly specific to your condition.

How does it compare with Vaser Lipo for fat reduction?

With Vaser Lipo the fat cells are actually removed making the chance of regaining the weight again in the same area less likely. With Mesotherapy there is a chance that if you do not maintain a healthy lifestyle that you will regain the weight. Vaser Lipo is also a quicker approach and normally requires just one procedure to get the results which takes anything from 1-3 hours or so. However it is surgical so there is downtime, more risks associated and scarring, not to mention the difference in cost. Both are effective treatments and come with their own set of risks and benefits. Mesotherapy is a great option for localized and limited fat deposits and for those people are not suitable for Vaser Lipo or who do not wish to have surgery.

What’s the difference between the vampire facial and Mesotherapy?

The much publicized Vampire facial is different in that it uses a technology known as PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), which uses your own blood which is then put into a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich plasma from the blood cells. This is then injected into the face or scalp or other area of the body for tissue repair, regeneration and healing.

How painful is Mesotherapy?

The sensation is often described as a slight pinching or burning sensation. Numbing cream can be used to decrease sensitivity, if required.

How quickly will I see the results?

It’s hard to say. Sometimes you will see a difference after only one session, other times you will notice results after 3 sessions. We generally recommend a course of 7 treatments to get the full benefit. When using Mesotherapy for fat reduction this should ideally be combined with a healthy diet and exercise to get the most out of the treatment.

Can Mesotherapy be used in combination with other treatments such as Dermapen (medical-needling)?

Yes, absolutely. It is very powerful when combined with medical needling (Dermapen), as you get the added benefit of an increase in collagen.

How long will the results last?

The results should last a while, depending on the condition being treated and the severity, how many sessions had initially and your lifestyle. If you are being treated for general rejuvenation due to ageing it’s important to remember that ageing is a dynamic process and that you will need to be on a maintenance program. Often it is a question of treating the symptoms as they occur. Mesotherapy is very effective as a preventative measure, also.

Will I be suitable for Mesotherapy?

The only contraindications for this treatment are: Diabetes, pregnancy, blood clotting disorder, anyone taking aspirin or other blood thinning medications and those with a needle phobia.

What are the side effects and risks?

Tenderness, bruising, local inflammation or reaction, infection at injection points.

How does Mesotherapy work when it comes to fat and cellulite?

With Mesotherapy circulation and lymphatic drainage are improved via a specific formula which is also used to break down the damaged/fibrotic connective tissue. This has a smoothening and detoxifying effect.

What are the advantages of Mesotherapy over other treatments, such as Laser?

Laser, because of the amount of heat it generates in the skin, can be known to cause post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation in patients who are prone to this. Laser has other risks as well such as burning and scarring.
