What are Mr Davood Fallahdar’s plastic surgery specialities?

My name is Davood Fallahdar, I’m a plastic surgeon based in London and I have been practising plastic surgery since 1998.

Why did you become a plastic surgeon?

During my childhood I always wanted to do medicine and after medicine we have a specialisation. Plastic surgery offers you a good range of operations which is challenging and your creativity is very important. For me it is very important. This offers me creativity and artistic job for me.

Main areas of Expertise

Almost all aspect of plastic surgery, reconstructive and aesthetic cosmetic surgery and my main area where I enjoy most is breast surgery, all aspect of breast surgery. Breast reduction, breast augmentation or enlargement, breast uplift and rhinoplasty.

What type of clients do you see?

Mostly they are ladies, my clients, and they are international. They come truly from the States, Far East, Middle Eastern patient, African patiet, European patient.

Describe your typical consultation

We spend about 45 minutes with each patient, or more, and we go through procedure completely. We go through their desired outcome, what is possible to be done. They need to be realistic, we go through the procedure, recovery time and the possible outcome, possible risk and complications and limitations of the procedure. And normally we give them at least two weeks cooling off period with a written consent form and they reflect upon everything and after two weeks we are ready to operate.

How do you manage your patient’s expectations?

First of all the patient needs to be realistic and normally this is very individual. We treat each patient as an individual. In that specific patient and that specific area of the body, specific case I would say, we discuss what we can do, what is possible, what is not possible and decide with the patient. And we go through different drawings, different pictures, sample pictures where we show the patient what is possible to achieve.

What do you like most about being a plastic surgeon?

It is challenging, and having good relationship with my patients. The best and the most beautiful thing is the results, outcome, happy patient coming and that’s the best thing you can imagine. You know, somebody happy with better life quality and they thank you. That’s the best thing.
