Types of Fat Removal to Consider
Getting the perfect beach body is harder than it appears. Diet and exercise should of course be the first option to get that toned appearance, but sometimes no amount of either of them will shift those stubborn pockets of fat. The stomach, hips, thighs and upper arms are particular areas of concern and you could well be tempted to look into cosmetic surgery to fix the issue, but just what fat removal procedures are available?
Lipo is probably the most well-known option, and it can certainly be suitable for a whole range of individuals. This is a procedure where fat cells are literally sucked out of the body to help achieve the tight, toned look that you want, and can effectively remove large areas of fat for a more streamlined appearance. But, this isn’t suitable for everyone, and if you’re looking for a slightly more gentle procedure then Vaser could be the way to go. This is a type of surgery that uses ultrasound signals to liquefy the fat cells before gently extracting them, and is ideal for delicate areas where lipo wouldn’t be suitable.
A tummy tuck is often thought of as being a great way to remove fat, but this procedure is actually more suited to excess skin. If you’ve already lost the weight but have been left with unsightly saggy skin then this procedure would be ideal, although other methods would be more suitable if you’re looking to remove fat outright. There are still plenty of options to choose from though so it’s worth discussing your needs with your consultant, and if you want to see how you can shift that stubborn fat make sure to get in touch and see what we can do.
