Liposuction Treatment
What Does Liposuction Involve?
Liposuction is a not only a complicated procedure but it is also potentially life changing – and therefore at botonics we feel that it is only right that our liposuction procedure is completely transparent, and that before entering theatre you will be completely aware of what the surgery involves. Of course any cosmetic surgery procedure will be discussed in detail in your consultations; however, as a brief idea – what will a liposuction procedure involve?
Like with any cosmetic procedure, at botonics we will first address your suitability, briefly if you are within 2 to 3 stone of your ideal body weight it is likely that you will be a good candidate, ensuring that you do not have any other conditions such as scars or aged skin, which may preclude you from the benefits of having the surgery.
The lipo procedure itself targets localized fat deposits, which are removed via a process of “loosening” the fat cells, followed by a vacuum procedure using a hollow needle device known as a “cannula.” This fat removal procedure will of course be performed under a general anesthetic so it goes without saying that you won’t feel any pain throughout.
At botonics we always regard safety as the prime concern, which is why we incorporate a wide variety of safety measures into all of our cosmetic surgery procedures; in regards to liposuction, for example, we limit the amount of fat removed to 5000cc’s, ensuring that any surgery undertaken is as safe as it possibly can be.
