Blepharoplasty surgery, either upper eyelid or lower eye bag removal, is beneficial for both men and women who have tired looking eyes due to droopy eyelids and/or bulging fat deposits.
London Blepharoplasty procedures are available from botonics at our prestigious Harley Street clinic, in the heart of London’s premier private medical community.
A blepharoplasty procedure removes excess skin and fat and sometimes tightens the muscles around the eyes. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty and lower eye bag removal blepharoplasty London surgery can be done separately or together, and take about 1 – 2 hours.
Blepharoplasty procedures are called many different names. Sometimes the terms refer to different types of surgery (e.g. upper eyelid or lower eye bag), or sometimes they are just different names for the same procedure. Blepharoplasty procedures are also referred to as:
The eyes are the focal point of our face. They are one of the first things people notice about you and are key to facial expression. Ageing affects the entire face, but it is usually first noticeable around the eyes because that is the area that shows ageing first. Because of this dramatic ageing effect, many people feel they need a full face lift when in fact the most dramatic impact can be achieved with a relatively less invasive upper eyelid surgery and/or a lower eye bag removal.
Upper eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper eyelids that make you always look tired or may even interfere with your vision. Lower eye bag removal surgery can correct puffy bags under eyes. Blepharoplasty will not remove crow’s feet or other wrinkles, lift sagging eyebrows or remove dark circles from under your eyes.

Where possible, we try to do blepharoplasty procedures under a local anaesthetic. This is usually possible when just the upper eyes need to be done. If the lower eyebags also need to be operated on, then usually sedation or a general anaesthetic is recommended by the surgeon.
At botonics, our prices are fully inclusive and consultations are always with the surgeon who does the procedure for you. Those are just a few of the several reasons why you should choose botonics for your blepharoplasty surgery in London.
Our prices for blepharoplasty surgery start at just £2,900, and financing for this cost is available.
Who is a candidate for blepharoplasty surgery? The best candidates are men and women who are physically healthy and realistic in their expectations. Most clients are 35 years or older, but if drooping eyelids or eye bags run in your family, you may benefit from a blepharoplasty procedure at a younger age.
Since most of our blepharoplasty procedures can be done under a local anaesthetic on a pure out-patient basis, no overnight hospital stay is required. We usually do our blepharoplasty procedures in our purpose built minor surgical theatre in Harley Street, which is approved by the Care Quality Commission for blepharoplasty surgery.
Many clients are surprised to learn that they don’t leave their blepharoplasty procedure with any bandages, just some stitches near the corners of their eyes. Most clients are very pleased with the results of their surgery and enjoy an increase in their confidence and well being linked to an improved physical appearance.
